Danielle Gautt  | LCSW Therapist | Clinical Supervisor | DEI Consultant

I’m Danielle Gautt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from Inglewood, California

I am the creator of Emerge Counseling, Consultation, and Wellness Services. My life’s passion is to help empower Women of Color to unlock their healthiest and happiest version of themselves.

Whether you are struggling through a life transition, experiencing race-based stress, or managing mental health concerns like anxiety or depression, our shared goal is to connect you to the best version of yourself. I believe that identity  shapes our experiences and that developing awareness allows our true selves to emerge. I want to help you cultivate your ideal life on your own terms.

For the past 15 years, I’ve worked in community mental health, intensive outpatient settings, and higher education. I provide counseling services that emphasize wellness — both physical and mental — as a form of prevention.

My Approach

individual therapy practice

What sets my work apart is that I consider my clients’ unique position in society in order to find the right style for them. I take an integrated clinical approach, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and interpersonal process therapy to find solutions specifically designed for you. My goal is to empower you.

DEI Consultaion Practice

I focus on taking organizations beyond diversity initiatives and encourage participants to lean into their differences. Far too often, we hide the unique individual characteristics we each embody out of discomfort. My charge is to increase an organization's ability to understand cultural differences from both their perspective and the perspective of the other culture(s). It is in understanding and leveraging differences that organizations are able to emerge.

Clinical Supervision practice

I function as a teacher, counselor, and consultant with the ultimate goal of facilitating clinical growth and exploring personal reactions. My primary focus is to assist Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASW) in conceptualizing their cases and understanding the person seeking services. Through conceptualization and diagnosing, they can develop a working premise/path for care.

What are my clients saying

Working with you was the first time I felt like a therapist actually saw me

K (individual therapy)

This training has been very Validating to hear as an Ojibway woman and new staff member. Thank you so much, and I agree with all of your feedback and suggestions.

- University of Wisconsin Madison, School of pharmacy DEI training

OMG that school is blessed to have you because you are literally the model I think about when searching for a therapist. If I don't leave there feeling the way I did when I was under your care then they aren't doing a good job

G (former individual therapy client)

Danielle creates a space that encourages vulnerability, making it easy to open up. My faith and my identity as a woman of color are a significant part of who I am and Danielle was able to incorporate both in our sessions and that brought about many AHA moments! She also provided helpful tools and frameworks to help me navigate my work performance anxiety and a significant career change.

(individual therapy client)

Danielle has a wonderful ability to provide a supportive environment in which folks are challenged; she promotes reflection and growth in individuals in a gentle yet direct Manner.

Chanda Bolander, LCSW

The moment you can visualize being free from the things that hold you back is the moment you begin to emerge.
